Hi Tom

if you go to the open flights page and hover the mouse above the dep or arr ICAO you can click on the ICAO and you get the actual data online ( has a little time lag ).

Yes, I know.

My idea was that if you like to land for example in stormy conditions, EDDF is now and tomorrow a good place.

Gust up to 45 knots, good to try crosswind-landings.  :)

So if you have an interesting weather somewhere, you could post it here.  ;)

And what about the real weather what you get online from Jeppesen? is that from last month?

I meant all, the real weather, jeppersen and others.

Maybe you understand me wrong. Of course you can get the weathers from the open flight page, or the TAF before a flight.

But maybe you have the intention to go to a special weather which somebody knows. I always fly real weather and for example if I see a post with interesting weather I could fly there, if possible.

Yes, like you Tom, I always fly with real weather.....but FSX weather seems a little suspect sometimes, lol.

I found this freeware program that seems to do a much better job of realism, and can have more than 8 cloud layers. The options can be a bit mind bending at first, but it works great (turns FSX weather off when you run it)

FSrealWX lite

Hope you like it

Yes, thanks, I know this freeware. Really good!  :)

But it can create a big drop in fps if you are having more layers as usual in combination with REX and a payware like the PMDG.

The most I like the weather of IVAO, but the sudden changes of the winds are annoying. When 90 knots on FL370 (realistic) changing from the left to the right in one second (not realistic) and not funny.  :(

Back to the topic. Once I was flying to Mumbai in India and I had yellowish fog in FSX real weather. I had checked, it was smoke!  8)

With the paid version of FSUIPC it has a feature on it where you can smooth out the sudden weather changes

Thanks.  ;)

Today I will avoid EDDF:
EDDF 041700Z 0418/0524 23015G25KT 9999 SCT040 BECMG 0418/0421 23020G35KT TEMPO 0420/0512 RA BKN020 TEMPO 0503/0515 23025G45KT PROB30 TEMPO 0506/0512 25030G55KT TEMPO 0512/0524 SHRA SCT020CB PROB30 TEMPO 0512/0518 25030G50KT TSGS BKN015CB BECMG 0518/0521 26015G30KT

But I am wondering, the aircrafts are still landing there.  ???

I was on my terrace and the storm has blown away my box with the cigarettes.  ;D

I think I should phone my chief for holiday and I go for spotting to Frankfurt....

This is my English and tiredness in the morning.

I meant a package of cigarettes, not a box.    :) ::)
