SSF Oil Rig
« on: October 09, 2011, 19:01:06 »

Hi SSF Team,

great idea and a very good reason for training!  :) :)

Heli pads on oil rigs are really not easy to land.

One little issue, only if you start from there, I have found.
If you choose EG01 and the 'active runway' or 'heli pad' the first time, you spawn in the air. If you do it a second time, every thing is normal.

But I assume this will be a station or a destination...  ;)

Hi Tom,

and this is only the beginning ... :-D  Until we introduced preferred payload we didn't have a way to pay Heli-Flights appropriately.

This is now possible. So expect more Heli-Sites to setup in the near future (Alpes, Bigger City Centres etc.)

... and the preferred payload is the preparation for a bigger feature to be revealed in the near future..... :-D

So training is a good thing to do ...

Emergency at the Oil Rig this morning, a guy who worked at pipe on the lower side fell into the Northsea. Rescue team looked with the safety boat for him and a helicopter was near by and helped searching

I was really under pressure landing on VA flight on a oil rig (wihout destroyoing pax satisfaction) and I can imagine how this will become in bad weather conditions.  :)

By night with a light breeze, departing back to the coast.

Looks a little bit like a jail...
