Title: Still Trucking
Post by: OUTLAW805 on February 08, 2012, 19:36:55
Just thought I'd stop by and say hi, I see the virtual aviation world has changed a lot.
I'm still out here pounding the pavement in my 18 wheeler, I have 50,000 plus miles under my belt now. I'm sitting at a truck stop in Salt Lake City watching the planes come in for their landings.
I miss flying here and eventually I will fly again, I don't see myself trucking for a real extended period of time, but I can't lie, the money is good.
I hope all is well with everyone and maybe in a little less than a year from now I'll be able to get a local driving job and go back to a normal lifestyle and enjoy this wonderful website, take care everyone, your friend the notorious OUTLAW805 a.k.a. Steve.

I see I'm no longer a part of an airline, I guess that's what happens when one goes dormant as long as I have. Thanks XRAY for the kind words.

Oh ok, I didn't see myself on the list of pilots for CFC, although I am viewing everything from my phone, so I am a tad limited, thanks X-RAY. I'm currently in L.A. ( my home town) getting ready to start a run to Austin TX.  I'm lucky this load only weighs 15450 lbs, for the last month all my loads have been 40,000+ lbs. When you lease and have to pay for fuel that's a big deal, I should get really good fuel mileage on this run. Anyhow take care and maybe I'll see you flying over head ;-')
