Just seen this on the BBC news and you have to hand it to the pilot he does a text book crash landing

Seen that today on the news...he did a perfect landing(minus the gear).......deserves a medal for that.

It was broadcast over South Africa News as well...

That was magnificent Landing...

Pilot saved a lot of lives landing manually  8)

I did this long ago at VHHX with the Antonov, forgotten the gear. The metallic noise was horrible. (and destroyed the pax satisfaction of course)


This pilot did a perfect landing, no chance to steer.  8)

Big news even over here in America since it took off from Newark. That pilot had a graceful landing for no gear. I have seen general aviation do that several times, but an airliner is a challenge. That pilot does deserve some sort of award for remaining calm and being able to land that plane so well without his landing gear.
